The Institute of Enology and Viticulture belongs to Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, Yamanashi University, in the Graduate School, in which they teach master’s and doctoral course students as well as guiding them in their research. The Institute accepts trainees and researchers from wine-making and food-production companies, and welcomes applications from international students and researchers. Many alumni of the Institute now have responsible positions in fields related to grapes, wine, and food.
